Jack Creek Falls at Lake Dixon, 1700 North La Honda Dr., Escondido, Ca, planted by Don and Gwen
Park Hours are 6:00 A.M. to 7:30 P.M., no pets, very nice picnic/BBQ area  under sheltered structures, plus a nice grassy area for the young ones to play, boat rentals available for trout and bass fishing, but no swimming or wading.  $1.00 entrance fee on weekends. No fee during the week.
Directions:  From interstate 15 take El Norte Parkway exit.  Drive 3 miles east and turn north on La Honda Dr. to the Dixon Lake entrance on the right.
Park in the hilltop picnic area just inside entrance.
Clues:  From the parking area find the large grassy, open amphitheater area on the south of  restrooms.  Head to the south east corner and go down the trail, heading east.  Turn right (south) at the first trail and pass by a cave like rock overhang.  Go 30 paces to rock # 4 and 18 paces to rock # 5.  Continue 1 1/2 paces past rock # 5 and turn west up the embankment about 12 feet to the continuation of the boulder cluster from the # 5 rock.  Look to the right between 3 boulders and under moveable rocks .    This site is listed in California Waterfalls by Ann Marie Brown,  Foghorn Press, 1997.  If you want to check out waterfalls in California get a copy of this book.  Best time to visit the "falls" is just after rain  in the winter/spring time.
